GYLP Ambassadors

Anagha Gopi Vallabha
Hi! My name is Anagha, and I am a freshman at the University of Maryland majoring in Psychology with a minor in Hearing & Speech Sciences. I hope to pursue a career in Special Education.
I went on the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 GYLP trips. Watching students excel right in front of my eyes was one of the most gratifying and fulfilling experiences I’ve had. GYLP will always remain one of my fondest memories, and I’m incredibly grateful to continue being a part of it as our team works toward reaching more people.
I am classically trained in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic vocal, and love to read, crochet and cook!

Diya Mahesh
Hi, my name is Diya! I am a freshman at Georgia Tech studying chemical and biomolecular engineering.
I went on the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 GYLP trips, and my experiences were unforgettable. I was able to meet so many new people and make so many new bonds with the volunteers and students. While I went on the trip with the goal of teaching the students, I left having learned so much. I am so grateful to have AIM for Seva and GYLP as platforms to advocate for the education and future of the amazing students of Manjakkudi.
A few of my interests include dance, research, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends.

Lakshmishree Sivakumar
Hi, I’m Lakshmishree. I am studying at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in their six-year BA/MD program. I am also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, Carnatic vocalist, and Veena artist. I have participated in AIM for Seva’s GYLP for three years, playing a leadership role. I was recently awarded for my efforts during the 2025-2026 GYLP trip.
As an ambassador, I strive to uplift youth to get involved in “seva” or selfless service. I aim to work toward Pujya Swamiji’s vision of becoming a contributor instead of a mere consumer.

Manya Prakash
Hi! I’m Manya, and I’m a junior at Syosset High School in New York.
I went on the 2024–2025 GYLP trip, and the experience left a lasting positive impact on my life. During the trip, I gained valuable skills, including leadership, gratitude and understanding, while teaching the bright students in Manjakuddi. These experiences inspired me to continue making positive contributions to society, and I am grateful to do so through AIM for Seva and my role as a Youth Ambassador.

Nitin Rajagopalan
Hi everyone, I’m Nitin. I’m a senior at Syosset High School in New York. I went on the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 GYLP trips. I aim to pursue the intersection of Applied Mathematics and Philosophy in college. In my free time, I enjoy toying with puzzles and watching comedy shows. I’m super proud of what we have been able to accomplish as ambassadors and am excited to continue pushing for universal education!

Vishwa Vasudevan
Hi, I’m Vishwa, and I’m a junior at Syosset High School in New York with interests in math, business, and potentially engineering.
I participated in the GYLP program twice, and visiting Manjakkudi was an amazing experience. Seeing how the village operates and how the community comes together was truly surreal, making both trips incredibly meaningful and impactful for me.
Some of my interests include playing golf, watching motorsports such as Formula 1 and GT3 racing, and playing the saxophone.
