Memorial Fund Honoring
In Darshan’s memory, and to leave a lasting legacy in her name, we will help fund the construction of an AIM for Seva girls’ hostel in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India, not far from Darshan’s birthplace of New Delhi. This hostel is part of a vidyalaya (residential school campus) serving children from nearby villages eager to learn, develop life skills, and build meaningful relationships.

As a former schoolteacher in New Delhi and passionate advocate for educating underserved or impoverished children, Darshan wanted her final act of service following her passing to support an initiative near and dear to her heart. Her children, Rick, Ruchi and Neeti, are pleased to honor her wishes and celebrate her life through this memorial fund supporting the wonderful work of AIM for Seva.

Vidyalaya Campus School construction
Each AIM for Seva vidyalaya (residential school campus) will bring together an English medium school and a boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel on one campus. The school will offer AIM for Seva’s proven value-based curriculum to 1,500 deserving children each year – children who wouldn’t otherwise have access to a formal education.
This groundbreaking direction is deepening AIM for Seva’s reach into underserved areas of rural and tribal India and offering students from grades K-12 the benefit of highly qualified teachers truly invested in their success, allowing them to achieve greater school performance, acceptance into college, and fulfilling employment.
One AIM for Seva vidyalaya (residential school campus) is completed and operational, three are under construction, including Roorkee, and land has been purchased for three additional campuses.
The Roorkee hostel we’re looking to fund will serve as a home away from home for 100 girls from rural India, providing a fully supportive environment and immediate access to the on-campus school. This free student home will provide …
